What DORZIM-I drops are and what they are used for
Category: Anti glaucoma

DORZIM-I Drops are a combination d. two medicines: Dorzolamide and Timolol. Dorzolamide belongs to a group d. medicines called carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. Timolol belongs to a group of medicines called beta blockers. DORZIM-I Drops are prescribed to lower raised pressure within the eye in the treatment of glaucoma when beta blocker eye drops used alone are not adequate.
Instructions for use
If you wear soft contact lenses these must be removed during treatment of the eyes with DORZIM-I Drops.
What you need to know before you use DORZIM-I Drops
Allergic to Dorzolamide or Timolol, beta blockers or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Do not use in your eyes if you
Have now or have had in the past respiratory problems such as asthma, severe chronic obstructive lung disease (severe lung disease which may cause wheeziness, difficulty in breathing and/or long-standing cough). 

• Have severe kidney problems, or a prior history of kidney stones.
• Have a disturbance in the pH (acid/alkali balance) of your blood.
• Have certain heart problems, including certain heart rhy1hm disturbances producing an abnormally slow heart rate or severe heart failure.
• Coronary heart disease (symptoms can include chest pain or tightness, breathlessness or choking), Prinzmental’s angina (chest pain while resting), heart failure, low blood pressure.
• Poor blood circulation disease (such as Raynaud’s disease or Raynaud’s syndrome).
• Diabetes as DORZIM-I Drops may mask signs and symptoms of low blood sugar.
• Overactivity of the thyroid gland as DORZIM-I Drops may mask signs and symptoms.
• Liver problems, if you have muscle weakness or have been diagnosed as having myasthenia gravis.

What DORZIM-1 Drops contain
The active substances are Dorzolamide hydrochloride 2% w/v and Timolol maleate 0.5% w/v.

The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, mannitol, trisodium citrate dihydrate and water for
injection.
