<\/span>What SELAMID-I drops are and what they are used for <\/span><\/span>
Category: Antibacterial <\/span>
SELAMID-I drops contain the antibiotic sulfacetamide sodium and are used to treat bacterial infections in the eye. <\/span>
SELAMID-I belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfa antibiotics. Sulfacetamide works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
<\/span>Instructions for use <\/span><\/span>
If you wear soft contact lenses, they must be removed during treatment of the eyes with SELAMID-I drops.
<\/span>What you need to know before you use SELAMID-I drops <\/span><\/span>
Do not use SELAMID-I if you:<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/strong>\u2022 Experience: increased redness, itching, or swelling of the eye that continues for more than 48 hours. <\/span>
\u2022 Are wearing soft contact lenses. These should be removed whilst you are using SELAMID-I drops. <\/span>
\u2022 SELAMID-I is not recommended in children under 2 months old.

The active substance is sulfacetamide sodium 20% w\/v. <\/span>
