What CIPROFLOXACIN Drops are and what they are used for
Category:
Antibacterial
CIPROFLOXACIN drops contain Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, which belongs to a group of medicines called fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
CIPROFLOXACIN is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, including conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers.
Instructions for use
If you wear soft contact lenses these must be removed during treatment of the eyes with CIPROFLOXACIN Drops.
What you need to know before you use CIPROFLOXACIN Drops Caution
Do not use CIPROFLOXACIN if you:
• Are allergic (hypersensitive) toCiprofloxacin, any other “quinolone” antibiotics (e.g. nalidixic acid), or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Are wearing soft contact lenses. These should be removed whilst you are using CIPR□FL□XACIN Drops.
• Do not use CIPROFL□XACIN eye drops in children under 12 months of age.

The active substance is Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride 0.3% w/v.
The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, sodium acetate, disodium edetate, glacial acetic acid, mannitol and water for injection.
