What SELAMID-I drops are and what they are used for
Category: Antibacterial
SELAMID-I drops contain the antibiotic sulfacetamide sodium and are used to treat bacterial infections in the eye.
SELAMID-I belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfa antibiotics. Sulfacetamide works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
Instructions for use
If you wear soft contact lenses, they must be removed during treatment of the eyes with SELAMID-I drops.
What you need to know before you use SELAMID-I drops
Caution !!
Do not use SELAMID-I if you:
• Experience: increased redness, itching, or swelling of the eye that continues for more than 48 hours.
• Are wearing soft contact lenses. These should be removed whilst you are using SELAMID-I drops.
• SELAMID-I is not recommended in children under 2 months old.

What SELAMID-I drops contain:
The active substance is sulfacetamide sodium 20% w/v.
The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, sodium thiosulfate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate, disodium edetate and water for injection.
